Greetings Students!
The Dale A. Frank Financial Group is creating an internship program for the fall semester 2010. Designed for marketing, communications, video production, graphic design and web-design majors, the interns will be responsible for the implementation of Social Media-Based marketing and event planning/ management. Social media has become a significant element in nearly every marketing strategy, but is not always prevalent in the standard marketing curriculum. This is a great way to earn real world experience with a fun and welcoming agency! We will be looking to hire 3-6 interns by September 17. Interviews will be held Sep. 10, 13-15. Expectations:
Interns can expect to commit 10-15 hours a week, for academic credit. Interns will also be expected to spend at least half of that time in the agency. (Which is located on the 5 college bus route) Much of the work can be done from home, but we as an agency have a firm belief in creating an office community. We expect our interns to become part of that community. The responsibilities of the intern will include, but are not limited to:
- Attend a staff meeting at 9:00am-10:00am every Monday (Class schedule conflicts can be discussed)
- Attend an intern meeting with intern coordinator every week (to be determined once all class schedules are submitted)
- Management of social media sites including but not limited to
- Wordpress
- Linked In
- Help create and work public events for special lines of insurance and marketing contests including
- Bike rallies
- Car shows
- Charity Events
- Sporting Events
- Interact with other local businesses we work with through Strategic Partnerships
- Work closely with Astonish Results Marketing
- Help drive traffic to a CRM system
Interns will also be expected to come in business attire.
Candidate
We're looking for motivated and hardworking individuals interested in a career in marketing, event marketing and planning, web-based marketing or graphic design. Additionally, it is our hope to assimilate all interns into a fun, motivational and challenging work environment. Prerequisites will include:

- Majoring in
- Marketing
- Finance
- Communications
- Graphic Design
- Video Design
- Web Design
- 3.0 GPA or above
- Able to commit 10-15 hours weekly
