Warm weather finally here?!!

Ah the wonderful signs of spring in Massachusetts; the birds chirping, the sun, (finally) out, the snow melting and of course the MA convertible automobiles out with their tops down!!

There are some beautiful MA road ways to take advantage of this time of year if you like to enjoy the wind through your hair.

Berkshire Hills scenic drive is a beautiful 132 mile loop through Western Massachusetts offering such attractions as Hancock Shaker Village, Monument Mountain Reservation and Great Barrington State Forest, just to name a few. As we begin to enter into spring in MA we will all be taking part in more activities outside so we can take advantage of the nice weather.

  • Does your MA Auto policy show any discounts for alarms or airbags/ seat belts? In MA you can receive discounts for these on your MA Auto policy.
  • Do you own more than one vehicle? You can receive a discount on you MA Auto policy for having more than one vehicle on a policy.
  • Did you know that if you are 65 years or older you can receive a discount on your Massachusetts Auto policy?
  • If you drive less than 7500 miles a year you should be receiving a discount.

Winter Weather Still Here

Spring is approaching and I’m sure we are all looking forward to the warmer weather and seeing the sun for more then just a few minutes each week. But for now it is still winter and the winter weather is, unfortunately, lingering around. Here are some tips for winter driving to hopefully keep you safe from having to use your MA comprehensive or collision coverage.

1. check road conditions before leaving.
2. start early so you don’t have to hurry
3. watch for black ice on the roads, if it looks slick it usually is
4. remove snow from your roof, hood, bumpers, and lights before starting out.
5. don’t follow other cars too closely; keeping further back from them then normal.
6. replace tires with snow tires for better traction.
